Microsoft has released a new dataset, HoloAssist, to aid the development of interactive AI assistants for everyday tasks. The dataset, which includes over 160 hours of video recordings, is the first to feature egocentric videos of humans performing physical tasks, guided by human tutors. The data covers a range of tasks, from assembling furniture to operating coffee makers, and includes seven different sensor streams to help understand human intentions and actions. Microsoft researchers believe this could lead to AI systems that can better assist people in their daily lives.
