How to Use Mid-Journey to Create Amazing AI-Generated Images
Are you interested in creating stunning, AI-generated images like a professional artist or photographer? Look no further than Mid-Journey. In just two minutes, you can learn how to use this powerful tool and start making your own breathtaking pictures. Let’s dive in!
Firstly, you’ll need to head over to discord.com and download the Discord app. It’s a simple process, just download and install the app for free. Once that’s done, it’s time to sign up for Mid Journey. Simply visit midjourney.com, create a free account, and sign in.
To fully utilize Mid Journey’s capabilities, you’ll want to connect it to your Discord server. By signing in to both Discord and Mid Journey simultaneously, the connection will be seamless. Once you’re in Discord and have connected Mid Journey, you’ll see a layout similar to this:
🛥️ The sailboat represents the Mid Journey app, there’s a bot that sends you messages, and there’s the app itself. Scroll down until you find the “Newbie rooms” section. Click on one of those rooms, and you can start generating incredible images, just like the one shown here.
If you’re blown away by how realistic and professional-looking this image is, you’re not alone. It’s hard to believe that it’s AI-generated and not the work of a talented photographer.
To create your own masterpiece, start by clicking on the text bar down below and typing “/imagine.” You can also press the Tab key or type “space prompt” – whatever suits you best. Press Tab again, and you can start inputting your instructions.
For this example, let’s create a scene of street racers zooming down a city street. We want the image to convey motion blur and be set in a cyberpunk cityscape, at nighttime, with rain and water reflections. These are just keywords that we want Mid Journey to pick up on and include in the image.
Remember, for this type of image, hyper-realism and a 4K resolution are important. You can even push it to 8K for ultimate realism. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can incorporate Unreal Engine as well. Mid Journey offers various aspect ratios, so make sure to specify the desired one for your image. For a horizontal landscape-type picture, add “–AR 16×9” at the end.
Once you have entered all your instructions, press Enter, and watch as the magic happens. Mid Journey will generate a series of images based on your prompt. In this case, you’ll see various perspectives of cars racing down the street. If you like any of the images, you have different options to explore.
You can press “U” followed by a number (1-4) to upscale the image. If the image is close to what you want but not perfect, you can click on a “V” (variation) to explore different iterations of that specific image. And if none of these options satisfy you, simply click the re-roll button, which will generate a fresh set of images based on your instructions.
While it’s true that the only limit to using Mid Journey is your imagination, there is also a practical limit based on the number of credits you have. With the free version, you can generate up to 25 images per month. However, if you choose to upgrade, you’ll have access to even more credits.
